Since the warm season is the time when the world truly comes to life in the Algarve, here we are, totally prepared to start enjoying a fun summer 2015 in Faro – that is, for those of us who still haven’t had the time and the opportunity to power up with much fun during the first days of June.

Faro, the capital city and prominent economic hub and cultural center in the seaside region of Portugal, the Algarve, is also the place where many events take place. Faro and its surroundings have prepared an exciting calendar for the remaining part of June and for July. Here’s some of them!

Do you like music? It is hard to be in Portugal unless you love it filling the streets with rhythm, from the melancholy strings of the traditional Fado to jazz and pop. Like all latin peoples, the Portuguese are quite musical. Between 26th and 28th of June 2015, in Lagoa, you are invited to attend the Lagoa Jazz Fest ‘15. The entry fee is 8 Euro and the event will take place in the amazing natural environment of the Sitio dos Fontes Estombar.

All throughout this summer, until September 30th, the Municipal Market Terrace of Faro hosts the Feira de Arte 2015, an initiative that seeks to encourage communication between artists and the public. Established artists alongside emerging talents will come to promote and sell their pieces of art.

At the end of July and beginning of August, Faro also hosts the famous gastronomy festival Festa da Ria Formosa in the and Largo da Se.

And if you love auto sports and cars, from July 11th to 13th 2015, the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura will be the scene of a great display of auto vehicle history, the Algarve Classic Cars 2015.
